- The time zone is GMT / UTC -3 (official time).
- The current in Argentina is 220 volts.
- The official language is Castilian. In general, it is easy to find people who speak English and Portuguese. The official religion is Roman Catholic, although there is total freedom of worship. The official currency is the peso. There are bills of two, five, ten, 20, 50, 100, 200 as well as 500 pesos and coins of one peso and ten, 25 and 50 cents.
- The dollar and the euro are accepted in most of the shops, but it is convenient to convert to pesos in bureaux de change or banks.
- To recover the VAT of the tax-free products, you have to save the invoices or tickets of the purchases and fill out a form that is withdrawn at the airport. In Argentina, the Value Added Tax is 21%.
